Think On This

Today I took our staff through the Real. Life. Exhibit at Northwest Medical Teams. At the end of the exhibit I was struck with this quote...

Pray as if everything depends on God. Work as if everything depends on you.

- Saint Augustine

Hey Brian. Yes, the needs can be overwhelming. It seems like some use prayer as an exuse for inaction (not that prayer itself is non-action). It seems like Augustine was arguing for something a little more action oriented, perhaps like, 'pray as you go.' thanks for the quote and, oh, Happy belated birthday to you and Benny!

That is a good quote, it kinda reminds me that prayer involves action. Some times it's the action of God, sometimes the actions of others who are moved by God.

I wonder how many prayers have gone unanswered because the person God has moved to answer a prayer sets back and does nothing?

My dad told me all about the exhibit. I'm dying to go through!

Also, on a completely different topic, I think Jon's blog is in a coma and that if we all comment and say "BLOG NOW!!!" it might wake up. I finally join blogger and he stops blogging...what's that about???:-P The end.

I looked at their site and it seems to be really powerful. I think I may take a tour. It's good to be reminded of the needs around us. It's really easy to get caught up in dumb things like traffic. Thanks, Brian!
