How Much Do You Hate People?

How's that for a title to get your attention? Now that I have it, check out this video and be challenged by a man who not only does not love God, but does not even believe in him.

Listen as Penn of Penn & Teller shares his thoughts on how anyone who believes in God, heaven, and hell, should be sharing (proselytizing) their faith with the world around them. Very thought provoking. Very challenging!

What do you think?

He makes a really good point. If someone was going to get hit by a truck, you'd push him out of the way, and this is a lot more important that that...

Swanson told me to check this out on your site. Really amazing stuff. I've seen Penn speak before, and he's pretty abrasive towards God and Christians. Even though he was impacted only by the man being "a good guy", I'd still stay it's clearly a seed planted. Wonder if it'll grow???

I wonder that as well. I showed the video to the students on Sunday. We actually ended up praying for him that God would use that man and others to draw him to Himself.

Penn speaks of hatred as the absence of love. Is apathy for those who are lost a form of hatred of others? I'm not so sure. The question I asked myself when I watched this video is... Would I have been willing to approach a celebrety about Jesus? If anything, I would hesitate from fear of rejection from a person that I admire. That's not hatred. Certainly if you really cared for a person who you believe is lost, you should love them enought to share your faith.
